AD102 confirmed in RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
Colorful has introduced and confirmed the new RTX 4070 Ti with AD102 GPU.

No more wondering or pixel peeping. Colorful has officially confirmed their latest RTX 4070 Ti SUPER cards, dubbed “V2,” feature the NVIDIA AD102 graphics processor. This is the first time a board partner has confirmed the new spec for this SKU.
Colorful has not confirmed the exact variant of the AD102 GPU, but information from yesterday suggested it might be the AD102-225 . This would make it the fourth RTX 40 series card featuring a non-standard GPU.

NVIDIA rarely confirms the exact GPU processor for individual models, making this information difficult to find. However, reviewers’ guides for media often include these details. Technically, NVIDIA can change the GPU at any time with nearly identical specs, but in practice, minor differences such as power consumption or access to certain encoding capabilities often arise.
These dissimilarities prevent global launches of non-standard models. And perhaps the main reason why these models are typically limited to certain regions, due to the lower number of GPUs available. But the goal is always the same, to sell heavily cut-down GPUs which are not working properly to be labeled as higher-tier SKU (in this case RTX 4090D).

When it comes to the specs of individual models, Colorful has launched new iGame Vulcan and iGame Advanced series. If we focus on the Vulcan model and use Colorful’s own comparison tool, we can easily learn that the new card labeled as V2 uses the AD102 GPU. The clock speeds and memory specs remain identical, but since this card is essentially an RTX 4090D with cut-down specs, the cooler is actually more advanced. The card is 1 cm thicker and uses nine 8 mm heat pipes instead of four 6 mm and two 8 mm ones. In theory, this should allow the card to boost higher due to better cooling capacity.
In terms of power, both cards use a non-reference 310W spec, so it is unclear if the AD102 model actually needs more power like the MSI card, which had increased TDP from 285 to 295 watts.
At this moment, we are aware of four AD102-based RTX 4070 Ti SUPER cards, all of which were released in the last 7 days or so:
