AMD Strix Point may appear exactly in a month

It is alleged that Ryzen AI 300 series will be released on July 28.

The Ryzen AI 300 series is now rumored to be released on July 28, nearly two weeks after the previously reported date of July 15. This earlier date had appeared on retailer preorder pages and was mentioned by laptop manufacturers like ASUS, which are expected to feature the Ryzen AI 300 series.

Leakers Golden Pig Upgrade and Hoang Anh Phu , who are known for their reliable information, have both claimed that the release date for the Strix Point has been shifted from July 15 to July 28. But what may be important to note that AMD has not officially announced a launch date, so terms like “moved” or “delayed” might not be entirely accurate in this context.

AMD Zen5 launch dates (rumored)

  • AMD Ryzen AI 300 “Strix Point” : July 15, 2024 July 28, 2024
  • AMD Ryzen 9000 “Granite Ridge” : July 31, 2024

Hoang Anh has added that the July 28 date is applicable not only to the sales embargo lift but also to the review NDA. Since July 28 falls on a Sunday, this means that, in many countries, laptops would likely begin shipping the following day. Despite these new rumors, ASUS still maintains that their laptops will start shipping on July 15.

Until AMD officially confirms the launch date, the information remains unconfirmed. Additionally, rumors suggest that AMD might lift the embargo on its desktop Ryzen 9000 series just three days later, on July 31. This indicates that AMD might still meet its goal of launching both products by the end of July, though there is still some waiting involved.
