BestBuy confirms AMD Ryzen AI 300 laptop launch date shift to July 28

AMD Ryzen AI 300 now coming July 28

It seems there is indeed a change for the Ryzen AI 300 series launch date. Initially communicated by retailers and laptop makers as July 15, the new date is July 28. AMD rarely chooses weekends for launch dates, and Sunday is even less common, but this change has been confirmed by two credible leakers . Large US retailers have now also pushed the launch date.

BestBuy has changed the launch date for several of the ASUS laptops they had listed for preorder. The pages now mentioned July 28:

AMD has not officially confirmed the launch date for the Ryzen AI 300 series, only mentioning that the first laptops would become available in July. Therefore, it cannot be classified as a delay or change, since there was never an official date. However, considering ASUS listed July 15 on their website, it was more or less an unofficial date for companies to start shipping the new series.

ASUS is one of the main partners for this launch, with at least nine confirmed models expected to debut within the next month or so. The new series mainly focuses on chassis without discrete GPUs, though there will be ROG and TUF models featuring discrete graphics. Unfortunately, there is no indication of Radeon RX 7000 models yet.

ASUS Ryzen AI 300 lineup:

  • Asus Zenbook S16 (UM5606)
  • Asus Vivobook S14 (M5406)
  • Asus Vivobook S15 (M5506)
  • Asus Vivobook S16 (M5606)
  • Asus ProArt P16 (H7606)
  • Asus ProArt PX13 (HN7306)
  • Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 (GA605)
  • Asus TUF Gaming A14 (2024 FA401)
  • Asus TUF Gaming A16 (2024 FA608)

It’s worth noting that ASUS has not yet updated the release date on their website, where the company offers a preorder feature. This should change soon unless ASUS has an early preorder agreement with AMD, which seems unlikely.
