Mini-PC with 80W 8845HS, higher than desktop 8000G
A company called Metaphyuni isn’t well known outside China. This company specializes in laptops and Mini-PCs, and their latest system certainly looks impressive from a specs perspective.
The Metaphyuni Genesis Cube is a high-end Mini-PC powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen 7 8845HS processor. This is the Hawk Point mobile chip with a default TDP set to 45W. AMD also offers a Ryzen 9 8945HS variant, which has higher base and boost clocks (3.8/5.1 GHz vs. 4.0/5.2 GHz), but essentially both SKUs are identical.
The company has used the Ryzen 7 8845HS with 8 Zen4 cores for this system. The 45W TDP is just the default setting, allowing the system to operate at a noise level around 31 dB. In this mode, the system prioritizes low power and low noise levels. However, the system comes with two additional settings. The so-called Battle Mode enables a 65W TDP , designed for gaming.
While systems with such a TDP setting are common, the company went further by enabling a third and highest option, an 80W TDP mode . This mode prioritizes performance over temperature and noise, though it should still stay below 76°C and 88°C in an FPU stress test. At worst, it will generate 48 dB of noise, which is reasonable considering the small system size (15 x 15 x 5 cm).

To enable the 80W mode, the system is equipped with a special dual-fan cooling design, with one fan as an intake and the other expelling air. Both fans are attached to a custom copper cooling module that uses phase-changing thermal material with 8.0W/m·K conductivity instead of normal thermal compound or even liquid metal.
Features also include two 2.5 GbE Ethernet connectors, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0, one USB4 140W, and one USB4 100W interface (USB4 supports 150W power supply input, but can also output 140W through Power Delivery 1.3 protocol). Furthermore, there are USB 3.2 Type-C and USB 3.0 Type-A ports. A feature also worth a mention is the support for OCuLink connection, making this undoubtedly a flagship-spec Mini-PC.

The Genesis Cube is priced at 3899 CNY, which is about 536 USD. This configuration includes 16GB DDR5 memory and 1TB of storage. The barebone system without these components is priced at 2699 CNY (around 371 USD).
