Colorful to launch 30 Intel next-gen boards, Gigabyte working on larger X870 series than predecessor

At Computex, Gigabyte showcased a wide range of new motherboards for Intel and AMD’s next-gen CPUs. Interestingly, there were significantly more Intel boards displayed compared to AMD’s. However, unlike AMD’s flagship X870 chipset, Intel kept the name of its chipset a secret. Despite this, some companies like Biostar confirmed the existence of Z890 boards.
Now, on the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) website, which regulates devices entering the regional market, it appears that there is confirmation not only of Gigabyte’s full lineup of X870 boards, but also of Colorful’s entire 800-series lineup, which was absent from Computex.
There are plans for 11 different Z890 motherboards, with variants tailored to each GPU series such as Vulcan White or Black, Ultra, or Neptune. Additionally, a new series called Flow suggests a potential water-cooled motherboard. The CVN and BattleAx “budget” series are also expected to launch in five different variants.

The leak confirms the existence of a W880 motherboard chipset, likely succeeding the W680 for the LGA-1700 socket workstation boards. These boards typically emphasize features like ECC memory support.
Colorful is preparing up to thirteen B860 boards, which traditionally the most popular models in each generation. Unlike the 700-series, there are no DDR5 or DDR4 variants here, as all Intel 800-series boards exclusively support DDR5 memory.

It’s worth noting that Gigabyte’s X870 series has also been revealed through this leak. The leak reveals plans for 13 different X870 designs, with nine of them falling under the AORUS series alone.
Gigabyte will introduce XTREME and MASTER boards, followed by PRO and ELITE variants. Additionally, there’s a TACHYON overclocking board in the lineup. Some variants will launch with a white-design theme called ICE, while others will feature WIFI7 support.
There’s at least one Mini-ITX board (X870I) planned, alongside five X870E and eight other X870 designs. This seems to be an impressive lineup, significantly larger than the X670 series, which had only eight designs.
The exact timing for Z890 and X870 series is unclear, but given the recent rumors, it would appear that both could appear no sooner than September/October.
