More AMD Granite Ridge Zen5 CPUs spotted on Geekbench
The 8 and 6-core variants were tested.

New benchmark results for AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 9000 series have surfaced on the Geekbench database. While Geekbench isn’t the best benchmark used for evaluating new CPUs, it remains a popular tool among reviewers and motherboard vendors for quick performance assessments of new architectures.
AMD is preparing to launch four desktop CPUs initially: the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X , the 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X ( recently tested on the same platform), the 8-core Ryzen 9 9700X , and the 6-core Ryzen 5 9600X . The latest benchmark results focus on the Ryzen 9 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X.

Both CPUs were tested on an ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero motherboard, paired with 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory. The Ryzen 9 9700X achieved a single-core (ST) score of 3312 points and a multi-core (MT) score of 16431 points. In addition, the 9700X reached a clock speed of 5.57 GHz during testing, slightly higher than its officially advertised turbo clock. Compared to the Ryzen 7 7700X, the 9700X scored 13.7% higher in ST and 7.6% higher in MT.
The Ryzen 5 9600X scored 3284 points in ST and 14594 in MT, marking a 20.9% and 13.8% improvement over the current-gen Zen 4-based Ryzen 5 7600X. According to the detailed Geekbench output, this CPU was running at 5.47 GHz at peak.
Currently, AMD’s Granite Ridge CPUs outperform all Intel 14th Gen Core CPUs in single-core tests. However, Intel’s Raptor Lake still leads in multi-core benchmarks.

So far, the only processor from the AMD Granite Ridge lineup that hasn’t been tested is the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X. It appears that someone is evaluating all the processors on the same platform, likely a reviewer. This suggests that more leaks could emerge soon, potentially and hopefully extending beyond just Geekbench.
