DDR5-8000 for Ryzen 9000
AMD Ryzen series finally getting fast DDR5 from G.Skill.

At the time of writing, the fastest DDR5 memory with AMD EXPO from G.Skill is the DDR5-6400 kit. This is much slower than Intel XMP based kits which now go up to 8400 MT/s (in G.Skill product lineup). EXPO stands for AMD Extended Profiles for Overclocking, which is a dedicated profile for Ryzen systems tested and validated by each memory maker.
With the launch of the Ryzen 9000 series, AMD has focused on enabling faster DDR5 memory support. The latest AGESA now supports DDR5-8000 profiles, and motherboards will or have already received support for on-the-fly memory overclocking. Importantly, these features are being introduced to all existing AM5 consumer chipsets. In other words, this speed will be supported by existing AMD 600-series boards.
Today, G.Skill is introducing their flagship Trident Z5 Royal Neo memory kit, featuring two 16GB modules ( 32GB total ) with timings of CL38-48-48-128 . This kit will operate at DDR5-8000 speeds and is designed to work in 1:2 clock divider mode in BIOS.

The company has not made any further announcements regarding other series receiving EXPO 8000 MT/s profiles. The Royal series is undoubtedly the most expensive in G.Skill’s portfolio and may not suit everyone’s preferences.
It is confirmed that the memory will launch in August 2024, but pricing has not yet been announced. G.Skill does not offer a 2x16GB DDR5-8000 kit for Intel/XMP platforms, but a 2x24GB kit is available and costs $279. What do you think would be a reasonable price for this AMD DDR5-8000 kit?
