AMD introduces new Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 “Strix Point” APU: NPU now up to 55 TOPS

AMD launches HX 375 SKU with faster NPU unit

A third Strix Point SKU focuses on AI performance.

AMD has confirmed the existence of the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 SKU, which aligns with previous speculation about its appearance in an upcoming HP laptop.

The Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 is a new addition to the Strix Point series and shares most characteristics with the HX 370 SKU. This means that the APU has 4x Zen5 and 8x Zen5 c cores, the same boost clock up to 5.1 GHz and the same graphics (Radeon 890M).

However, it has been optimized for AI performance, boasting an NPU (XDNA2 processor) that supports up to 55 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second). This suggests a focus on artificial AI rather than traditional CPU or GPU-intensive tasks.

The APU appears on AMD website with a higher NPU performance:

As said, there’s only one laptop that unofficially features this processor, and it’s the OmniBook Ultra 14-inch laptop, which will launch in September. The SKU is now confirmed by AMD (listed on their website) and we have a launch date for the first product. Therefore, the Ryzen AI 300 lineup has grown to three models already.
