YOGA Portal features Core i7-14700 and RTX 4070
Lenovo has launched a very interesting compact PC, a proper competitor to Apple Mac Studio.
We have an update on the Lenovo ThinkCenter Neo Ultra, which is the international name of the YOGA Portal, a new Mini-PC recently launched in China.
In the Chinese market, only one configuration has been announced and priced. This version features a Core i7-14700 processor and GeForce RTX 4070 graphics. It’s important to note that the Neo Ultra variant for the global market offers up to a Core i9-14900 processor and RTX 4060 graphics, so while the Chinese version has a less powerful CPU, it boasts a higher-end GPU.
An important detail not mentioned in the initial report is that the graphics card is a full desktop version. Lenovo has not only taken advantage of a desktop socket, allowing users to replace the CPU within supported options, but also included desktop graphics. However, replacing the graphics card might be challenging or even impossible due to the custom cooling designed for this form factor.

The Lenovo YOGA Portal, similar to the ThinkCenter Neo Ultra, features a dedicated M.2 slot for an additional NPU card (an AI accelerator in M.2 form factor). Users can also swap memory and storage, meaning that with a clear upgrade path from Lenovo, users could potentially upgrade or add to the CPU, GPU, storage, and memory. However, there doesn’t appear to be a barebone version available, and the graphics are an integral part of the system with no plans to sell the PC without them.

The PC is priced at 17,999 RMB, which is approximately $2,500 USD. This configuration includes 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
