Sapphire’s new card uses RX 7700 XT PURE as base

A new graphics card coming soon from Sapphire.

At ChinaJoy 2024, Sapphire presented three new graphics cards based on various game. The first card, which was showcased before the Chinese tech festival, features a Frostpunk 2 design , a post-apocalyptic steampunk strategy game. It turns out that wasn’t the only new card at the event. Later the also presented a RX 7800 XT GPU Once Human Edition .

Sapphire is also presenting its Radeon RX 7700 XT based on a game called Delta Force: Hawk Ops. I hadn’t heard of this game before and had to cross-check the Chinese name to find the original title. It turns out it was announced months ago as a mass multiplayer game similar to Call of Duty and Battlefield. Some gamers say it’s something in between, with Unreal Engine 5 and cross-platform support. The game will launch on PCs, consoles, and even mobile devices.

The graphics card is based on the Sapphire RX 7700 PURE design, but instead of the white theme, it features a black color scheme, a 2.5-slot triple-fan cooler, custom stickers, and a custom backplate. There’s a distinctive red LED on the side.

The RX 7700 XT uses a cut-down Navi 32 GPU with 3456 cores and 12GB of GDDR6 memory. The card has a default TBP of 245W. Neither Sapphire nor AMD have confirmed the specs of this new variant, but it’s expected to be similar to the PURE model, with a 2584 MHz boost clock (1.6% faster than AMD’s reference specs).

Sapphire recently announced its One Human and Frostpunk 2 designs, which are also based on the PURE series.
