ASUS adol book 14 has built-in fragrance
ASUS is launching a new laptop with an interesting feature.
Next-generation laptops are stepping up beyond just CPU, GPU, and NPU performance; they’re now competing in the realm of scent. ASUS has introduced a new laptop called the ‘adol book 14 Air,’ a 14-inch device powered by the AMD Ryzen 8945H processor. This laptop does not have discrete graphics but stands out due to its collaboration with Anna Sui, a known fragrance brand, which influences the entire system’s theme.
The laptop boasts a 14-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2880×1800 and a refresh rate of 240Hz. It offers full 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage with an average Delta E below 1, ensuring accurate color representation. Additionally, it includes professional color gamut switching, though factory calibration details are not mentioned.

Under the hood, the laptop comes with 32GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. It also features a 75WH battery, capable of providing up to 14 hours of local 1080p video playback (official figures typically assume low brightness and no network usage).
One of the unique features of this system is a custom fragrance dispenser located in the lid, containing an infused fragrance sheet. The CNC-cut cover is magnetically attached, making it easy for users to replace. Although the fragrance sheet’s size suggests it won’t last long, the package includes three different fragrances to change:

In terms of AI features, the laptop includes a built-in assistant. However, it’s worth noting that the AMD Hawk Point APU, which is about three times slower than the newly released Strix Point in terms of NPU performance, likely relies on online tools for these AI capabilities.
The bundle comes with Anna Sui’s Wishing Elf Perfume (50ml), a stylish cloud computer bag, a custom mouse, and some stickers. This entire configuration is priced at 6,999 RMB (approximately 974 USD).
