Acer Swift 14 AI with Lunar Lake

Acer’s latest laptop is the first commercial product to feature Intel’s Lunar Lake platform. Acer has a history of rolling out with the latest architecture, and if memory serves me well, it was among the first to leak with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X SoCs. Italian retailer has now listed the new laptop, named Swift 14 AI. One configuration includes a Core Ultra 5 226V processor and is available in a gray color scheme.

The laptop features a 14-inch OLED screen with a 1080p resolution, which is somewhat lower than expected. It comes with 16GB of memory, preinstalled on the CPU package and using LPDDR5-8533 specifications.

Compared to the Qualcomm X version, Acer’s new Swift 14 AI laptop offers nearly identical specs, except for a 10 Wh larger battery in the Snapdragon model. The Lunar Lake version is 0.6mm thicker, which is something no one would have noticed anyway. The most significant advantage of the Intel version is its OLED screen, though there might be an error in this detail as it is listed with just 1080p resolution.

The laptop is priced at €1150, which is approximately €945 without VAT. This would be covert to something around $1031 in the US. It’s worth noting that the Core Ultra 5 226V isn’t the flagship model within the Lunar Lake series. However, it still boasts 8 CPU cores like other SKUs in this lineup and features Arc 130V graphics with 7 Xe2-Cores (so just 1 core disabled).

What’s perhaps worth of a mention is that this laptop is the first product officially listed with this architecture, aside from those leaked on Geekbench like the MSI Prestige 13 laptops, which haven’t been officially listed yet.
