AIDA64 Beta enhances sensor support for MSI’s upcoming Z890 motherboards

AIDA64 7.35.7004 beta now available

The latest AIDA64 beta focuses on Z890 motherboards from MSI.

The popular system monitoring and testing tool AIDA64 has been updated to support next-gen Intel motherboards, a feature that should be particularly useful for PC hardware manufacturers, at least until the new boards are released.

Over the past few months, several updates have been released by AIDA64 for the Intel Arrow Lake-S platform. The latest update focuses specifically on MSI Z890 motherboards, and according to the changelog, the sensor information has now been fixed.

MSI has not yet announced its LGA-1851-based Z890 series, but some boards were already presented at Computex (pictured above). Intel has forbidden its partners from calling these boards Z890 for some reason, although some did slip on that embargo. The Z890 series alone has at least nine models already in the pipeline. Presumably, the AIDA64 update is for the entire series, targeting fixes for sensor data.

The 7.35.7004 beta update for AIDA64 also improves support for Intel Sapphire, Emerald, and Granite Rapids Xeon series. The tool will now detect the original CPU clock. Additionally, there are updates for Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake IMC (Integrated Memory Controller), allowing users to monitor the DRAM to BCLK (base clock) ratio.

Intel is reportedly launching its Arrow Lake-S processors in Q4, so the Z890 motherboards are expected to be released at the same time. It’s also worth noting that MSI is rumored to be launching X870 motherboards in mid-September, according to our source.
