AMD might launch Ryzen AI 300 SKUs higher than 370/375

The bigger number the better.

AMD seems to have more in store for its Ryzen AI 300 series, specifically with the Strix Point lineup. According to Golden Pig Upgrade, AMD is preparing to launch additional SKUs within this family.

Currently, there are two main SKUs available (HX 370 and 365), along with a custom design for one company (HX 375). The hint at “bigger” numbers suggests that AMD could potentially introduce even faster SKUs, or parts specifically designed for higher TDP. AMD has made a lot of effort to combine its U, H and HX variants within a single product family, and it is up to OEMs to choose the desired TDP for their products.

The information from Golden Pig should be considered reliable, especially given the track record with the Strix Point series. This Chinese media channel correctly identified the 12-core and 10-core Strix Point parts before AMD made them official, and also revealed AMD’s last-minute change from the Ryzen AI 100 to the 300 series.

If, for some reason,AMD decides to launch Strix Halo within the 300 series, it has limited options. The company could either use the remaining SKU names like 380, 385, or 395, or introduce a new tier altogether, such as Ryzen AI 9+. However, since Strix Halo is expected to launch in early 2025, it might be the right time to introduce the 400 series.

AMD has also introduced the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 SKU, a special version with increased XDNA AI acceleration to 55 TOPS. It’s worth noting that, according to AMD’s leaked documents , the Strix Halo is expected to feature 60 TOPS.
