Next@Acer 2024 on September 4th
Acer has set a date for its annual Next@ event.

The event is not limited to PC hardware; on the contrary, it will cover a wide range of technologies and devices, including smart devices, multimedia, and more. However, it is a fact that the 2023 event was 90% focused on laptops, particularly high-end gaming systems that were announced in April.
The next event is scheduled for September 4th, coinciding with Intel’s anticipated announcement of its Lunar Lake series . It’s worth noting that both events will take place at IFA 2024, a major technology tech event in Germany. Intel’s event is set for September 3rd, allowing Acer to showcase all of its next-gen laptops without any restrictions on the next day.
Acer has not confirmed the details of the event, but the main theme seems to be “Human Intelligence.” Companies making laptop hardware are relentlessly using the term AI, with each competing to offer faster processors and built-in AI accelerators. Even though Microsoft’s Copilot+PC program was announced and released in June, and despite the launch of AMD’s new Ryzen AI 300 processors last month, the application of these technologies remains quite limited. Will anything change by the time Intel’s new series is released? Well, we’ll find out soon enough.
