Antec’s new handheld gaming device, the Core HS, is essentially a rebranded version of the Chinese AYANEO Slide. It features a 6-inch 1080p screen that slides to reveal a physical QWERTY keyboard, without blocking access to the controllers. However, unlike some premium handhelds, the Core HS lacks touchpads.

The device is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, an 8-core Zen 4 processor with RDNA3 graphics and 12 CUs. This is the same hardware found in devices like the ROG Ally and Legion Go, but the Core HS can use AMD-supplied drivers instead of OEM ones. Antec is also using AYANEO’s software, AYANEO Space, which offers essential features like overlays and power profile switching.

The Core HS can be configured to support up to a 28-watt TDP, and it supports M.2 2280 SSDs up to 4TB. It uses LPDDR5X-7500 memory. The device includes a 46.2 Wh battery and supports WiFi 6E.
