Intel Core Ultra 9 24-core “Arrow Lake-S” QS CPU reportedly hits 5.7 GHz clock, 5.4 GHz with all P-cores

Please note that this post is tagged as a rumor .

24-core Arrow Lake-S up to 5.7 GHz

Jaykihn claims that the Qualification Sample (QS) can reach 1.0 GHz higher clock than ES2.

Intel has already provided Qualification Samples (QS) of its upcoming Core Ultra 200K series to partners, and some of these units have surfaced in benchmarks like Geekbench . As these companies fine-tune their platforms, the final specifications of the new series have been revealed.

The Core Ultra 200K series will launch with two 24-core models: the Core Ultra 9 285K and Core Ultra 9 275. Both models feature 8 Lion Cove Performance Cores (P-Cores) and 16 Skymont Efficiency Cores (E-Cores). The Core Ultra 9 285K is expected to reach a maximum boost clock of 5.7 GHz.

According to a leaker named Jaykihn, one of these 8+16 SKUs (likely the 285K or 275) can already achieve this 5.7 GHz frequency, which is 1.0 GHz higher than the Engineering Sample 2 (ES2) of the same chip. Additionally, the QS unit is reported to boost up to 5.4 GHz with all P-Cores active and 4.6 GHz with all E-Cores. The leaker made it clear that the 5.7 GHz boost clock was achievened with TVB technology.

QS: 5.7GHz 1-2P, 5.4GHz allP, 4.6GHz allE
6400MT

ES2: 4.7GHz 1-2P, 4.5GHz allP, 3.9GHz allE
6400MT

I’ll post the boost clocks for the entire B0 lineup with QS week.

The important information is that the Core Ultra 200K will likely not reach the same frequency as its predecessor. The Core i9-14900KS was able to boost up to 6.2 GHz, while the 14900K launched with 6.0 GHz support. Another key detail is that the new series will lack hyperthreading support.

It is possible that the 285K will not be the top SKU in this lineup, though. Intel has launched three consecutive KS variants since the debut of the LGA-1700 platform and four if we include the 9900KS from the previous platform. In other words, it is very likely that the 5.7 GHz clock is not Arrow Lake’s final target.
