ASUS to reveal its ROG X870 lineup next week
A special press event expected at Gamescom.

Although AMD allowed its board partners to reveal the 800-series motherboards at Computex, it still came as a surprise to most motherboard makers, who clearly were not ready to showcase their entire lineup. Only a handful of designs were shown, but compared to Intel’s Z890 platform, AMD has at least confirmed that the new chipset will be skipping the 700-series and going directly to the 800-series.
At Computex, ASUS showcased two motherboard designs: the X870E TUF and X870E ROG Maximus, representing one of the most popular lines from ASUS. However, this is clearly not the final word, and the good news is that we won’t have to wait much longer for the full disclosure.

ASUS has announced a special press event at Gamescom 2024, where new products will be unveiled. While the company has kept details quiet in their international coverage, it’s clear that new motherboards will be revealed. This includes a new TUF model, the ProArt series, the ROG Crosshair Hero, and the ROG Strix design.

The official press release also mentions that ASUS will be giving away motherboard and CPU bundles as some of the prizes. The ROG event is scheduled for August 20. Worth noting that the reveal likely does not mean immediate availability. The X870 motherboard should appear in September.
