AMD and ASUS at Gamescom 2024
AMD has now confirmed that there is indeed an event planned for Gamescom 2024.

In four days, AMD will hold its Gaming Festival, an annual 8-hour event that takes place during Gamescom in Germany. In 2023, AMD did not have any product launches at the event, but last year, there were two significant updates, including the introduction of the Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT models, along with the final confirmation of the AMD FSR3 launch. This year, however, might not be as exciting.
The event will focus on games and gaming hardware. There will be gaming entertainment provided by ‘famous influencers,’ the latest products from AMD partners for participants to test, and “Gaming, gaming, and even more gaming,” according to AMD. Several companies will be involved, with some displaying live demo systems for users to explore.

Perhaps the most interesting segments start at 4:00 PM with the “ AMD Highlights ” segment, which is expected to cover some of AMD’s latest launches. Additionally, the ASUS ROG Show , starting at 6:00 PM, is worth looking forward to, as ASUS has already confirmed it will unveil several new products at Gamescom, but what’s important is that this event at the AMD Gaming Festival is not the main event. ASUS will have a separate ROG Press Event on August 20.
What to expect? At AMD event probably not much, but ASUS should showcase new motherboards featuring the X870 chipset. And the new Radeon RX 7000 TUF “Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2”.
The event will be livestreamed on Twitch, so no worries—you don’t have to spend 8 hours there physically.
