Today, video editors are using AI-powered features in DaVinci Resolve to stabilize footage during editing and significantly reduce digital noise. Right now, gamers are accelerating their FPS while maintaining lifelike detail using AI tech like DLSS and Frame Generation. In today’s leading creative apps, 3D designers are taking advantage of real-time viewport rendering, upscaling, accelerated rendering, and more — and AI makes it all possible. As incredible as generative AI is currently, even more exciting developments are on the horizon. To prepare you for advanced AI experiences, we’re introducing our AMD X870E and X870 motherboard lineup. Ready for AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs and featuring all new options from ROG Crosshair, ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, ProArt, and Prime, these new motherboards are loaded up with next-gen connectivity, smart features, and performance-boosting refinements.
Primed to perform with AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors
An advanced AI PC leans heavily on its graphics card to accelerate AI workflows, but when you look at performance holistically, there’s no question that the CPU and motherboard play a vital role in establishing the foundation for the build. For your gaming ambitions, creative endeavors, and professional pursuits, AMD Ryzen 9000 Series desktop processors unleash your full system’s performance.
With their potent blend of single-threaded and multi-threaded performance, AMD Ryzen 9000 Series desktop processors excel in any workload. Whether you’re exporting a lengthy video, competing against the best in an online esports game, or rendering a complex animation, these processors have the horsepower to ensure that you can stay nimble as you work and play.
Socket AM5 takes a second lap around the track
AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs slot into the AM5 socket, allowing owners of an X670E motherboard to upgrade their current systems with little more than a BIOS update. For those building a new system today, though, an X870E or X870 motherboard is the ideal choice — and there’s ample reason for X670E owners to consider an upgrade.
What’s the difference between X870E and X870 motherboards? Your most feature-rich, high-end options for your AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPU use the X870E chipset. Armed with DDR5 support, PCIe 5.0 connectivity for graphics and SSDs, two onboard USB4 ports, and support for the latest CPU and memory overclocking refinements, these motherboards are ready to push your new CPU to its limits. Since X870E motherboards have two chipsets, they have more PCIe lanes to play with. On the ProArt X870E-Creator WiFi, for example, we put them to work with a Marvell 10Gb Ethernet port.
X870 motherboards are quite similar to their X870E brethren, but their one-chipset design makes them attractive options for PC builders with more modest connectivity needs.
Take the lead with smart controls
An ASUS-powered AI PC offers you easy, one-click options for optimizing system performance. With ASUS X870E and X870 motherboards, you’ll have the tools to unleash your AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPU, minimize fan noise while maximizing cooling, ensure seamless connections to your PC, and optimize your network settings.

- Core Flex: You can also use Core Flex to smash limits farther than ever before by controlling clock, power, and thermals. In its simplest form, you can maximize base clock during lighter loads and set breakpoints to gradually reduce CPU core frequency as temperature or current increases. The system is extremely adaptable, supporting multiple user-controlled functions that can manipulate power, current, and temperature limits independently so that you can bend CPU performance to your will.
- AI Cooling II: Our intelligent tech stands ready to optimize your cooling, as well. AI Cooling II gives you an easy tool for getting effective airflow under load and quiet operation during light tasks, even for builders who opt for higher-RPM case fans. It uses CPU monitoring information and data from a brief stress test to calculate the lowest fan speed required to effectively cool your system — while minimizing noise levels. This fan control system can reduce system fan noise by up to 5.7dB under sustained loads.
- AI Networking II: Through AI Networking II, your AI PC can optimize network settings to ensure smooth online gameplay, uninterrupted creativity, and seamless sharing. Integrated into the Armoury Crate app, AI Networking II uses AI-enhanced identification and boost technology to ensure faster and smarter network optimization. The new Traffic Monitor feature tracks your current WiFi channel usage and makes it easy to switch to a less-congested channel.
You’ll have access to all these features on our ROG, TUF Gaming, and ProArt X870E and X870 motherboards. With the Prime X870-P and Prime X870-P WiFi, you’ll have access to AI Cooling II.
