This year Apple TV+ has really hit its stride , and end of year awards are starting to recognize that. One prestigious body has just named a hit Apple TV+ comedy one of the .

The American Film Institute annually publishes a list of the 10 best films and 10 best TV shows of the year.

This year, Shrinking of TV show honorees.

This isn’t the first time AFI has recognized an Apple TV+ series in its end of year honorees. In 2023, made the list, 2022’s list recognized and , and in 2021 received the honor.

Shrinking is currently airing its second season, which has been just as strong as the first thanks to the excellent ensemble cast.

Shrinking follows a grieving therapist who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.

Harrison Ford in a comedic role is one of my favorite parts of the show, but the entire cast is great—similar to Ted Lasso’s strong ensemble.
