Stolen SUV located, family dog ‘Roxy’ still missing: Toronto police

An SUV that was stolen as a father dropped his daughter off at an Etobicoke school on Wednesday has been located, but the family’s dog that was inside at the time of the carjacking is still missing.

In an interview with CityNews, the man said that he was about to pull out of the parking lot of Bloorlea Middle School on Wednesday morning when the suspect approached him and threatened to hurt his kids if he didn’t give him the vehicle.

He obliged, and the suspect sped off, but the man said he forgot that Roxy, his four-year-old chocolate lab, was still inside the white Jeep Grand Cherokee.

“We are still appealing for anyone with information on Roxy’s whereabouts to contact police,” the spokesperson said.

The suspect is described as white, around 30 years old and between five feet eight and six feet tall with a light-coloured beard, medium build, black jacket, black winter pants and black earmuffs.
