The latest in Thermalright's streak of CPU cooler launches is the Peerless Assassin 120 Black. This is the company's second D-type (dual fin-stack tower) CPU cooler launch in a month, following the Frost Commander 140 . As their names might suggest, the Peerless Assassin 120 Black is slightly smaller than the Frost Commander 140, and is designed for fans no larger than 120 mm.
The Peerless Assassin 120 is a dual fin-stack tower-type cooler. Six 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes make indirect contact with the CPU over a nickel-plated copper base; conveying heat to the two fin-stacks at either ends. Two Thermalright TL-C12B fans come included with the cooler. Each of these feature fluid-dynamic bearings, turn at speeds of up to 1,550 RPM, pushing up to 66.17 CFM of air-flow, at 1.53 mm H₂O static pressure, and 25.6 dBA noise output. With its fans in place, the cooler measures 125 mm x 135 mm x 157 mm (WxDxH), weighing 1.02 kg (750 g heatsink + 2x 135 g fans). The company didn't reveal pricing.
