Last week, I covered Ubiquiti’s new cloud gateways , and the company is back this week with another release. This time, it’s releasing one of the lowest-cost Wi-Fi 7 access points on the market, the , which is available for $99. It’s also releasing a for $149. Wi-Fi 7 expands upon some of the great features of Wi-Fi 6E and is supported on the iPhone 16 lineup (except the newly released iPhone 16e ).

The U7 Lite packs serious power into a compact form factor. Over the years, Ubiquiti’s ‘Lite’ models have been some of the company’s best bang for your buck in terms of performance. It’s PoE-powered, features a 2.5 GbE uplink, and delivers 4-stream Wi-Fi 7 performance. For $99, it’s one of the most affordable ways for businesses to upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 to maximize the Wi-Fi speeds of the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro. With support for the entire Ubiquiti ecosystem, it fits easily into your existing UniFi network.

Designed for private room deployments like hotels, apartments, etc., the U7 In-Wall brings Wi-Fi 7 without needing to have an access point mounted to the ceiling. Like the Lite, it has a 2.5 GbE uplink, PoE power, and 4-stream Wi-Fi 7 performance, but it also includes PoE output, allowing it to power a secondary device like a camera or IP phone.

This release is a prime example of why Ubiquiti should be today’s default choice for many enterprise environments – especially for those with the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro as their iPhone of choice. Is it the product for every need? No, but I think more IT teams need to consider it first and only move past it when a feature simply isn’t available. If your organization is planning a network upgrade soon, these APs will work great with the iPhone 16, and, likely, upcoming Macs will also support Wi-Fi 7 in the near future.
