Hongkongers can expect a warmer and drier spring than usual, the Observatory has said in its latest seasonal forecast.
The forecaster said on Sunday that temperatures from March to May would be “normal to above-normal” in the city.
In Hong Kong, temperatures of more than 23.3 degrees Celsius (73.94 Fahrenheit) are classified as “above-normal”, while the standard range for the season is between 22.6 and 23.3 degrees.
“Against the backdrop of climate warming, spring temperatures in Hong Kong show a significant long-term increasing trend,” the forecaster wrote on social media.
“Along with forecasts from global climate models, it is expected that the temperature throughout spring will be normal to above-normal.”
