Samsung's dominance continues in the QD-OLED market, and now with a distinguished logo, it is set to stand out.
Samsung Unveils Its New Brand Identity: Updates QD-OLED Logo with an Additional "Q" Letter at the Beginning
One of the leading display manufacturers, Samsung Display, has today announced a brand new QD-OLED logo for its products. The new logo will distinguish Samsung QD-OLED monitors, TVs, laptops, smartphones, and smartwatches from other manufacturers.
The company, which debuted its QD-OLED business in late 2021, has remained dominant in the QD-OLED sector for several years. From a few thousand sales in the first year to reaching over 1 million sales in 2024 alone, Samsung currently holds the most market share compared to its QD-OLED rivals. To build a solid brand identity, the company has unveiled a brand-new QD-OLED logo for a unique representation of its products.
Now, the QD-OLED logo on Samsung QD-OLED displays will feature a big "Q" in blue color and a slight gradient at the beginning of the logo. According to Samsung, the blue color represents the blue OLED technology, and the gradient effect represents the QD-OLED's distinctive wide color spectrum.
QD-OLED leverages the superior black expressions of proven OLED technology, enhanced by the optical characteristics of quantum dots, resulting in richer color reproduction and distortion-free viewing from any angle. The new BI reflects QD-OLED’s exceptional image quality, effectively connecting us with clients and consumers while highlighting the technology’s unique value.

It will also trademark the new logo, ensuring that consumers can identify displays that use Samsung's QD-OLED panel. Currently, the majority of the popular monitor and display manufacturers, such as ASUS, MSI, Sony, HP, etc., utilize Samsung's QD-OLED panels for their high-end products. Some of the recent examples are MSI's and ASUS's 240Hz 4K QD-OLED gaming monitors , but more brands have been adopting Samsung's QD-OLED panels lately.
QD-OLED displays have an additional Quantum Dot layer that helps OLED displays achieve higher brightness and vivid image quality, which has always been a challenging task for regular OLED panels. QD-OLED panels boast wide color coverage for great color reproduction, apart from bringing an exceptional 1.5M:1 contrast ratio. That said, the panel is excellent for both gamers and content creators and brings quick response and color accuracy.
Samsung has announced that it will promote its new brand identity by collaborating with its clients around the world and will showcase it in major exhibitions as well.
