Google積極推動無密碼登入，將利用桌機Chrome及手機版Password Manager自動將用户密碼升級通行密碼（passkey）。

上週Android Authority 首先在Google Play Services App（25.19.31 beta版）發現Android版Password Manager包含一個能自動將用户密碼在用户登入時轉成通行密鑰（passkey）。這項功能預設開啟。

而後， Google週末宣佈Chrome 加入Google密碼管理器（Password Manager）自動建立通行密鑰的功能，名為Automatic Passkey Upgrade。啟用該功能後，當用户以Google Password Manger儲存的密碼登入網站，該App就會將密碼升級為Passkey。此時，Password Manager也會傳送通知給用户。

這項功能將先透過桌機版Chrome 136釋出，Android版則即將推出。

在給開發人員的支援網頁中，Google説明，最近用户以儲存的密碼登入網站，Google Password Manager才會自動建立passkey。 Google並建議 開發人員使用WebAuthn API，使其網站或App呼叫「條件式建立（conditional create）」以便在用户輸入密碼登入後立即啟用Automatic Passkey Upgrade功能。

Google説明 ，passkey可和其他驗證方式並行。若用户不想改為Passkey，也可以從Chrome右上角的「More」選單中「password and autofill」>「Google Password Manager」>「設定」，關閉「Automatically create a passkey to sign in faster」。

上週微軟也先後宣佈， 新增的微軟帳户將預設啟用passkey登入 ， 以及逐漸將passkey儲存作業集中到Edge上 。
