MagSafe continues to be one of my favorite aspect of the iPhone. Like HomeKit gear, it’s easy to get carried away testing new accessories. But some products just do the job. It’s only half an inch thick, has a built-in stand that folds flat, and recharges with USB-C. If you’re working from coffee shops or airport lounges and don’t want to lug around a full dock, this is one to keep in your bag.

The 5,000mAh battery gives you enough juice to bring a dead iPhone back to nearly full. I like it for travel days when I know I’ll need more than just the built-in battery to make it through.

If you’re thinking this is just another pop socket type thing, it’s not. The surprised me. I use it when I’m talking on the phone, propping up my iPhone at my desk, or watching videos on flights.

It’s thin enough to leave on your phone without messing with the feel too much. Unless you’re using a MagSafe mount or charger regularly, it can live on the back of your phone full-time. I mostly use it to keep my iPhone upright when working so I can glance at 2FA codes or Face ID prompts without picking it up.
