AMD announces Radeon RX 6000M laptop graphics card series with RDNA2 architecture

AMD Radeon RX 6000M finally here

AMD announces its Radeon RX 6000M series.

AMD Radeon RX 6800M, the flagship RDNA2 mobile SKU

The RX 6800M will feature Navi 22 GPU with 2560 Stream Processors. This mobile graphics card will be equipped with 12GB of GDDR6 memory and 96MB of Infinity Cache. This model will be clocked at 2300 MHz and will target gaming laptops with 145W and above. AMD is heavily advertising ASUS ROG STIRX G15 which launches with this GPU.

AMD Radeon RX 6700M with 2304 cores

A cut-down Navi 22 SKU will launch as RX 6700M. This model will have 2304 Stream Processors, so just as many as RX 5700M and RX 5600M, except based on a newer architecture. The memory bus has also been reduced to 160-bit to allow a configuration of 10GB GDDR6. The clock speed has been kept at the same frequency as RX 6800M, which is 2300 MHz. Due to a limited number of cores and shorter bus, the size of the Infinity Cache has been reduced to 80MB. This SKU should be seen in laptops up to 135W TDP.

AMD Radeon RX 6600M with Navi 23

AMD already confirmed this SKU through a driver update. The RX 6600M sports Navi 23 XM with 1792 Stream Processors. The Navi 23 GPU has a memory bus of 128-bit which is tied to 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The RX6600M will feature a boost clock of 2177 MHz and it will target gaming laptops up to 100W.
