The XOC BIOS unlocks more than three times the power the GeForce RTX 5090 D needs but it's not official.

Seems like the GALAX GeForce RTX 5090 D HOF isn't the only card to get the 2001W power limit as someone prepared a similar custom XOC BIOS for the ROG Astral RTX 5090 D Gaming OC. The new BIOS is available on for download, but remember that it isn't verified and isn't official. It means, users should flash it on their GPU at their own risk.

Nonetheless, this XOC BIOS essentially unlocks the full power of the Astral RTX 5090 D, which is an RTX 5090 variant for the Chinese market. We know that the RTX 5090 D is already discontinued but for those who already own this particular card, can now increase the power limit from nearly 600W to a whopping 2001W through this BIOS.

Originally spotted by the user "DarknightOCR" on the Overclock forums, the XOC BIOS is compatible with the ASUS Astral RTX 5090 D Gaming OC, which is already one of the top-of-the-line offerings by ASUS. Through this BIOS, one can supply up to 2001W through a single 16-pin power connector, which is of course, dangerous and will likely lead to a burnt power connector in no time. Still, enthusiasts can now experiment on their own in feeding over 600W of power to the card to achieve higher speeds and performance.

We have seen the GALAX RTX 5090 D HOF GPU achieving a new world record in 3DMark Port Royal recently, and this was done through the XOC BIOS, which unlocked the 2001W power limit. Even though the GALAX RTX 5090 D HOF is rated at a good 2610 MHz boost clock out of the box, the overclocker Team OGS was able to achieve a staggering 3.65 GHz (almost a 1 GHz boost) through manual overclocking by utilizing nitrogen cooling.

Even though the Astral RTX 5090 D isn't as crazy as the GALAX HOF edition out of the box, it may come close to such results, but it's going to be a lot difficult since it only ships with a single 16-pin connector while the GALAX card has two 16-pin ports.
