ASUSTOR Inc. today officially launched its flagship 12-bay and 16-bay rackmount NAS models: Lockerstor 12R Pro Gen2 and Lockerstor 16R Pro Gen2, purpose-built for medium to large enterprises requiring high-performance storage and virtualization capabilities. Both models are powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7745 Eight-Core processor, with a maximum boost clock of 5.3 GHz, delivering powerful multitasking and computing performance. Both models come equipped with 16 GB of DDR5 ECC server-grade memory which is expandable up to 192 GB, ensuring stability and security in multi-user and multitasking environments. The Lockerstor R Pro Gen2 series supports high-capacity 30 TB hard drives such as the Seagate IronWolf Pro and Exos M series, offering excellent support for massive data storage and future expansion needs.

The all-new Lockerstor R Pro Gen2 series feature dual PCIe Gen 5 x8 and x4 slots, allowing flexible expansion with 25GbE, 40GbE, and 50GbE network cards as well as SAS storage controllers. Expand capacity with the Xpanstor 12 expansion unit using the ASUSTOR add-in SAS controller. The Lockerstor R Pro Gen2 series include a M.2 slot for NVMe SSDs supporting PCI Express 5.0 that can be used for high-speed caching, significantly improving performance in small file access scenarios.
