High on Life 2 Gets Early 2026 Launch Date and Flashy New Trailer

High on Life 2 has officially been shown off at Gamescom, with a 42-minute gameplay demo giving fans a sneak peek into what's to come from the follow-up to the chaotic 2022 shooter. The gameplay features the same frenetic gunplay, wacky "weapon" designs, and over-the-top comedy. The game picks up five years after the original left off and sends you, a budding bounty hunter, on a mission that will throw your life into turmoil and get you embroiled in a conspiracy theory potentially involving the fate of humanity. The gameplay also features a skateboard as a new way to get around the metropolis.

The gameplay clips shown off in the YouTube video feature several interludes asking for community feedback, so it seems as though the story and development are roughly complete, but there is still some polishing to be done before the full release. Squanch Games, the studio behind High on Life 2, also announced the official launch date for the new FPS as February 13, 2025. It will launch on Xbox, PC, and PS5 simultaneously, and it will be available on Game Pass at launch. The game's Steam Store page has been live since early June, and has since amassed around 2,000 followers, although this will likely increase as the game's launch draws near.
