In a five-photo joint post, the superstar singer and football player revealed their engagement, the fairy-tale culmination of a courtship that for two years has thrilled and fascinated millions around the world, but especially Swifties, the pop star’s enormous and ardent fan base.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the caption read, accompanied by an emoji of a dynamite stick.

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said on Tuesday he wished the star couple “a lot of luck” despite his earlier bad blood with the pop queen.

“I wish them a lot of luck,” Trump told reporters at a cabinet meeting when asked about the engagement. “I think he’s a great guy. I think that she’s a terrific person.”

In September, Trump declared his “hate” for Swift just days after she endorsed his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris.
