NuPhy Halo65 V2 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard Launches With More Colors and Less Switches

More than a year after launching the NuPhy Halo75 V2 with the brand's updated design philosophy and new wireless capabilities, NuPhy has finally released the more compact wireless mechanical keyboard, the Halo65 V2 . The new wireless mechanical keyboard ups the number of available color options, cuts down the number of available switches, adds QMK/VIA support, and changes out the old KOP keycaps for NuPhy's own double-shot PBT keycaps in mSA profile. The NuPhy Halo65 V2 is available on NuPhy's online store at an MSRP of $119.99, but it will also likely be available on Amazon at a later date. It is available in five colors: Obsidian Black, Ionic White, Mojito (green), Blue Lagoon (blue), and Sakura Fizz (pink).

The Halo65 V2 uses the standard compact 65% layout with a small blocker between the alpha keys and the arrow cluster and a full four-key navigation column on the right edge of the keyboard. The NuPhy Halo65 V2 now uses NuPhy's custom Gateron collaboration 5-pin mechanical switches, offering four switch options in total: lightweight Mint linear, middleweight Raspberry Linear, Lemon tactile, and the silent Blush Max switches. All of the switches use a combination of a POM stem, PC top housing, and a PA66 nylon bottom housing. The Halo65 V2 is also hot-swap compatible with any standard 5- or 3-pin MX switches. The keyboard itself is constructed from a CNC-machined aluminium top frame and an injection-molded translucent PC bottom case, which allows NuPhy to easily include a 2.4 GHz dongle storage slot and two-stage flip-out feet. The back of the bottom case also includes hardware switches for power and connectivity and Windows or Mac layouts.
