Lenovo Legion Go 2 Leak Tips Early September IFA Release

It seems as though the upcoming Lenovo Legion Go 2 will officially launch at IFA in early September. Previously, it was teased that the Legion Go 2 would be launching towards the end of 2025, but a more recent leak from Evan Blass on X contains marketing images and videos that suggest the Legion Go 2 will launch during next week's IFA show in Berlin, slated to take place from September 5-9. The leaked press media confirms much of what we've already known and suspected about the Legion Go 2, like the fact that it will come with a 144 Hz, 1080p OLED display with VRR—something that was sorely lacking in the original Legion Go.

According to the leaked video accompanying the Legion Go 2 images, the new Windows-powered handheld will feature a new "Next-Gen Excimer" coating that is meant to be more durable and easier to clean. The Legion Go 2 will once again feature dual USB Type-C ports, there will be a microSD card slot in the bottom of the device, and it will be powered by AMD's Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU , which has so far impressed in early benchmarks of the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X , thanks to its more powerful AMD Radeon 890M iGPU and Zen5+5c CPU architecture. The Legion Go 2 will use the same connectors for the detachable controllers, despite having slightly redesigned ergonomics, and it seems as though Lenovo will forego updating the charging connector accessory used to connect the two controllers when in what Lenovo calls "console mode."
