An Apple helped a West Hollywood man recover his stolen suitcase after landing at Los Angeles International Airport last week. Here’s what happened.

As reported by (via ), Daniel Scott had just landed from Salt Lake City and, after waiting on two different baggage carousels for a while, decided to check the Find My app.

Scott had placed an in his suitcase, and the app clearly showed his luggage on the move, making its way to the ride-sharing area. Despite sprinting to the area, he couldn’t catch up to his luggage, but kept tracking it through the app.

As the luggage made its way to a boarded-up abandoned building, he was met by LAX police, who shone flashlights inside and were greeted by someone wearing Scott’s clothes.

Upon entering the building, they reportedly found his “slicked-up luggage with his clothes scattered in multiple rooms.”

The suspects were arrested, and Scott got most of his clothes back. Talking to NBC Los Angeles, he “urged other travels (sic) to use the device if they can.” He also advised against acting alone in situations like this.
