Actor Mark Rolston, who you might know from films like The Shawshank Redemption, Aliens, The Departed, or from his voice acting work in games like Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as Norman Osborn or the VR game Batman: Arkham Shadow where he plays Commissioner Gordon has just spilled the beans on the fact that Meta and Camouflaj are working on a sequel to Batman: Arkham Shadow.

Spotted by , during an interview at Fan Expo 2025 Chicago with Culture Combine, Rolston was discussing how he did full motion-capture work for his role in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and in the first Batman: Arkham Shadow game. He then went on to say, regarding Batman: Arkham Shadow, " We're about to start another one of those. I play Commissioner Gordon. "

Batman: Arkham Shadow released towards the end of 2024 , and despite it being a Meta Quest 3-exclusive title, was regarded as one of the best games of 2024 with how it was able to create a melee combat system that, as the old adage goes, made players 'feel like Batman.'

It even won Best VR/AR Game at last year's Game Awards , beating out other strong entries like Metro Awakening and Asgard's Wrath 2.

With Camouflaj being a Meta-owned studio, it's unlikely that we'll see Arkham Shadow make the jump to other headsets or even PC VR, but perhaps now that a sequel is in development, Meta will look to porting the original in order to drum up interest in VR enthusiasts picking up a Meta Quest just to play the new game, provided they don't already have a Meta headset, that is.

It's been a big year for voice actors letting secrets loose before their time. Voice actors for Superman and the Green Lantern recently indicated that Injustice 3 is in development , and the voice actor for Edward Kenway pointed towards Ubisoft finally getting ready to debut its Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remake, which is more of an open secret at this point.
