AMD has confirmed that the entry-level Zen 5 chip, the Ryzen 5 9500F, will be available in retail on September 16, 2025. It features 6 MB of L2 cache and 32 MB of L3 cache, totaling 38 MB, and has a 65 W TDP. The "F" suffix indicates that there is no integrated GPU, so a discrete graphics card will be required. AMD's slides position the 9500F as a budget-friendly Zen 5 option and show a price of ¥1,299 in China, which is about $181 before taxes. AMD's internal numbers claim roughly a 9% average uplift in triple-A games and about 11% in competitive titles compared with the Ryzen 5 7500F, with a few titles showing larger gains.

Early, independent benchmarks that have appeared online show much smaller improvements in some setups and place the 9500F near Intel's mid-range parts in real-world gaming tests, and only 3.5% improvement over the Ryzen 5 7500F. There is also confusion surrounding availability and part numbers, as some listings suggest early shipments in China, while presentation slides list a September 16 retail date.
