Apple releases watchOS 26.0.1, but very few users will get it

Apple is rolling out a watchOS 26.0.1 build that appears to be specific to the . Here’s what’s new.

In an unusual move for a Friday afternoon, Apple just rolled out a system update for the Apple Watch, but you will only see it if you’re among the lucky users who already got their hands on the new .

Here are the release notes from Apple:

“This update enables Messages and Find My via satellite in Mexico for Apple Watch Ultra 3 users.”

This update (build 23R8352) is currently exclusive to the . Owners of other watchOS 26–compatible models will not see it yet, but Apple usually follows up major releases with a .0.1 update.

In other words, it shouldn’t be long before all supported Apple Watches are updated as well, and back in step with the .
