GPU pricing report: RTX 5090 and RX 9070 XT still selling above MSRP in US and Europe

Radeon RX 9070 XT and GeForce RTX 5090 still far from MSRP

GPU prices in the US and Germany: most models now at MSRP, but AMD cards remain costlier in the US

3DCenter has released a new GPU pricing update comparing the German and US markets. It highlights the current situation and shows which cards are heavily overpriced. For the RTX 50 series, the good news is that most cards are available at or close to MSRP, with only one exception. Meanwhile, Radeon GPUs have yet to reach their promised MSRP.

In the US, the GeForce RTX 5090 remains well above MSRP, with prices ranging from $2400 to $2700 compared to the $1999 list price. The Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 also continue to sell above MSRP in the US, with the 9070 XT listed at $670–760 instead of $599, and the 9070 at $600–660 instead of $549. By contrast, these cards are already back at or near MSRP in Germany.

The only exception in Germany is NVIDIA’s flagship RTX 5090, which is still selling at a 17% premium over MSRP, though that matches the situation in the US. Other models, including the RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5060 Ti 16GB, are now in line with or even slightly below list prices across both regions. AMD’s Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB is currently the best case, coming in about 7% under its US-equivalent MSRP in Germany.

The data underlines a clear split: NVIDIA cards are generally aligned with MSRP in both regions, while AMD’s mid-range models remain consistently more expensive in the US than in Germany. The fact that AMD has many fewer SKUs certainly doesn’t help the situation.
