Gigabyte formally launches AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX with no availbility

Gigabyte confirms launch of RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX

The company says the 5060 Ti model has been released.

Gigabyte has announced and apparently launched the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX, a new external GPU designed for ultrabooks and compact systems. The company calls this a “launch,” though the product is not yet available to buy and the official product page has not been updated since its introduction earlier this year.

The AI BOX is equipped with the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB desktop GPU, cooled by Gigabyte’s WindForce system with dual fans for quiet operation and stability. Unlike many older eGPUs, this model supports both Thunderbolt 5 and USB4, ensuring broad compatibility. Gigabyte claims performance is within 5% of a desktop RTX 5060 Ti installed directly in a PCIe slot.

The 5060 Ti AI BOX is part of Gigabyte’s “AI BOX” family, following the flagship RTX 5090 AI BOX first shown at Computex 2025. That model, now shipping, is marketed for extreme multitasking, AI workloads, and AAA gaming, with over 3,000 TOPs of FP4 compute and faster image and video processing compared to the RTX 4090 Gaming Box.

Aside from GPU acceleration, the 5060 Ti AI BOX also doubles as a docking station, providing USB 3.2 Gen2 ports and Ethernet connectivity, with single-cable power and data transfer possible over Thunderbolt 5.

While Gigabyte describes today’s announcement as a launch, no release date or pricing has been confirmed, and it remains uncertain when the 5060 Ti AI BOX will reach retail.
