Walmart lists RTX 5090 at MSRP, RTX 5080 below official MSRP
First sign of better times?

One of our readers told us that Walmart is now selling NVIDIA’s flagship GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card at its official MSRP of $1999. Seeing the Blackwell-based model available at list price is rare, despite the card having launched back in January.
Just last week, 3DCenter’s pricing update showed that the RTX 5090 was still averaging about 20% above MSRP in the US. NVIDIA has not adjusted its official pricing, but finding the card at $1999 has so far been as difficult as securing a Founders Edition through the company’s Verified Priority Access program. Most custom models, even those advertised as “MSRP,” were basically unavailable at that price.

The model spotted at Walmart is PNY’s triple-fan OC variant, which until now was not realistically offered at MSRP. This could indicate improving availability or a shift in retail pricing.
Alongside the RTX 5090, Walmart is also listing the PNY RTX 5080 at $929 , around 7% below its $999 MSRP. This discount may be linked to the expected launch of the RTX 5080 SUPER in the coming months.
