Steam Deck at $319

Steam Deck is the unquestionable leader in terms of pricing.

Valve has lowered the price of its base Steam Deck gaming handheld by 20% . The discount applies only to the LCD model still on sale, the 256GB version. The OLED models, which many consider the better option thanks to a larger battery and improved display, are not included in this promotion.

The Steam Deck LCD 256GB, normally priced at $399.99, is now available for $319. The discount runs until October 6th , ending just before 1PM ET / 10AM PT. The timing also comes a week ahead of Steam’s Autumn Sale, making it possible for buyers to grab the handheld at a reduced price and fill it with discounted games shortly after.

Even though the LCD model lacks the perks of the $549 OLED, such as the 90Hz OLED panel, faster Wi-Fi 6E, and improved battery, the performance difference is negligible. Both use the same AMD Vang Gogh processor, and the LCD model remains efficient and capable for PC gaming on the go.

Valve has supported the Steam Deck consistently since launch, with frequent software updates and improved game compatibility across Steam. Developers are also increasingly targeting Steam Deck specs when releasing new titles. Four years on, the LCD model continues to deliver reliable performance, and this rare discount makes it one of the best-value handheld gaming PCs on the market.
