Embark Studios, the game studio behind The Finals, has officially made its next game, ARC Raiders, available for pre-order on PC via both Steam and Epic Games, as well as on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. ARC Raiders is a PvPvE extraction shooter that hopes to deliver a slightly more in-depth world and progression system than other similar shooters, like Apex Legends. It will feature dynamic weather and a changing world as well as quests and in-game NPCs who all have their own agendas. The pre-order will cost $39.99 for the standard edition, but the Deluxe Edition will cost $59.99. That $60 gets you an exclusive Astro Bundle, Scrappy Cowboy skin, 2,400 Raider Tokens for in-game purchases, and the perks of the standard edition pre-order. The standard edition pre-order includes a duck-themed Hatchling Backpack and a Golden Rubber Duck Backpack Charm cosmetic. ARC Raiders will officially launch on October 30 , and aside from the PC and aforementioned consoles, it will also be available on NVIDIA GeForce Now game streaming.

At the time of writing, ARC Raiders has a pretty substantial following on Steam, with over 169,000 followers leading the game to fifth place in SteamDB 's "top wishlists" ranking. The developer also announced a Server Slam event to test the game's infrastructure on October 17 to 19. The Server Slam will be a free opportunity to play ARC Raiders ahead of launch, and it will give gamers a chance to try out the Dam Battlegrounds map, experience crafting and progression, and completing a handful of in-game quests. Players who participate in the Server Slam event do not need an invitation, unlike prior tests, and it will be available to players on all platforms, although it will be a gradual rollout throughout the first day of the event. No progress will be carried over into the main game, but players will get an in-game backpack cosmetic to commemorate their participation.
