Intel Moves Xe-LP Based iGPUs of 11th to 14th Gen Core to Legacy Driver Branch

Intel is moving support for the integrated graphics solutions of some of its older-generation Core processors from current to legacy branches. These would roughly align with all iGPUs based on the Xe-LP graphics architecture that lacks DirectX 12 Ultimate features. Processor generations on the chopping block include 11th Core "Tiger Lake" and "Rocket Lake," 12th Gen Core "Alder Lake," 13th Gen Core "Raptor Lake," and 14th Gen Core "Raptor Lake Refresh." With its Core Ultra 100 series "Meteor Lake" generation, Intel introduced the Xe-LPG graphics architecture, which the company also implemented on "Arrow Lake." The company even released its latest Xe2 "Battlemage" architecture on the iGPU solution of its "Lunar Lake" mobile processor. The company will hence continue to offer graphics drivers for "Meteor Lake," "Arrow Lake," and "Lunar Lake" through its current driver support branches, besides all Arc A-series "Alchemist" and B-series "Battlemage" discrete GPUs.
