ASUS formally launches Radeon AI Pro R9700 TURBO GPU with 32GB memory

ASUS launches Turbo Radeon AI PRO R9700 32GB with blower cooler and factory OC (with software)

ASUS has officially introduced the Turbo Radeon AI PRO R9700 graphics card. This is the company’s first AMD model to use the new 12V-2×6 power connector, a standard already adopted by NVIDIA but only now appearing on Radeon cards.

The ASUS Turbo is equipped with 32GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit interface and comes in a compact two-slot design with a blower-style cooler. The card measures 26.7 cm in length and is rated for systems with at least a 750W PSU. According to ASUS, the reinforced diecast shroud and backplate help reduce memory temperature by up to 16%, while a phase-change GPU thermal pad improves long-term thermal transfer compared to standard paste.

Despite being marketed as a professional card, ASUS does enable factory overclocking through GPU Tweak III software. The Turbo R9700 can boost up to 2940 MHz (20 MHz above default specs) and run at 2370 MHz game clock. That makes this the first officially overclockable R9700 available on the market.

The Radeon AI PRO R9700 was originally introduced in July without a reference model from AMD, leaving board partners such as ASUS to handle the rollout themselves. With 32GB VRAM, 128 AI accelerators, and up to 1531 TOPS INT4 performance, the Turbo edition is positioned for AI development workloads as much as for standard workstation use.

According to PC Games Hardware , the R9700 TURBO was briefly available at 1444 EUR in Europe. The site mentions that this is cheaper than ASROCK’s Creator model based on the same Radeon SKU, which is listed at 1779 EUR.
