Origin Code introduces high-end memory kits up to 256 GB

Origin Code is a new name in the DDR5 market, but the company is starting with an unusual product line. The Vortex DDR5 series pairs high-speed memory with large capacities and is the first to use an active cooling system with three 40 mm fans. The brand is registered in Florida, but the address matches Biwin America, the US arm of the established RAM and SSD supplier Biwin Technology (as noted by ComputerBase ).
Rather than competing in the mainstream, Origin Code aims directly at the high-end segment. The Vortex series debuts with the following kits:
- 6200 MT/s CL26, 32 GB (2 × 16 GB)
- 6000 MT/s CL26, 48 GB (2 × 24 GB, dual EXPO profiles, up to 8000 MT/s CL36)
- 6000 MT/s CL26, 192 GB (4 × 48 GB)
- 6000 MT/s CL30, 256 GB (4 × 64 GB)
The 6,200 MT/s CL26 kit would be a new record for 32 GB kits, while 64 GB modules at 6000 MT/s CL30 also set a new mark compared to today’s DDR5-6000 CL32 options.

All Vortex modules come with an aluminum heatsink and an attached cooling module using three dual-ball bearing 40 × 40 × 20 mm fans. Together they push 22.5 CFM of airflow, which Origin Code claims improves heat dissipation by nearly 40% compared to standard heat spreaders. The design uses ultra-thin beveled fins to maximize surface area and direct airflow across the modules.

The Vortex DDR5 series is set to launch in mid-October , with pricing and regional availability to be announced. Given the Biwin connection, sales may follow the same path as Biwin’s SSDs, which are distributed in the US through Amazon rather than broad retail channels. Whether these memory kits will reach other markets remains unclear.
