While the latest Steam Store beta release sees the start of features that will help gamers figure out if they can play games with certain types of anti-cheat, the latest mainline Steam Client update brings a UI redesign that's been in beta since July. The new Steam Store redesign focuses on the navigation menus in the store header and on improving the Search functionality. Ultimately, Valve describes these UI updates as changes to help with game discoverability, but it's notable that the UI improvements also make the store look more modern and more in-line with what we expect from the Steam Library view.

As part of the new update, the left navigation panel with the list of small text entries will now be consolidated into the menu bar as Browse, Recommendations, Categories, Hardware, Ways To Play, and More drop-down menus. The new Search bar comes with new entries, like popular searches, recently viewed, and categories that Valve thinks you'll like. You can also access the advanced search feature, granting access to the usual genre, tag, category, feature, and price filters. Given that the Store is simply a wrapper for a website, it should already be available on Linux, Windows, and macOS.
