A few months ago, Apple announced its new collaboration with director Ben Stiller: “ ,” a documentary about his parents, legendary comedy duo Jerry Stiller ( ) and Anne Meara ( ). Now, the first trailer just dropped, and it is surprisingly touching. Watch it below.

With a limited theatrical release scheduled for October 17, “ ” will premiere globally on Apple TV+ the following week, October 24.

As the trailer below shows, “ ” will feature plenty of archive footage, interviews, and notes written by the comedy duo, as Ben Stiller and his sister, Amy Stiller, try to explore and understand their parents’ relationship on and off-stage.

For fans, the trailer shows at least one familiar face, as Christopher Walken ( , ), who plays Burt Goodman in the show, offers his recollections of the comedy duo.

“I feel very fortunate to be partnering once again with the incredible team at Apple TV+, this time on a project that is very personal to me and my family, (…) It’s exciting to finally get to share it with audiences; and a great honor to celebrate my parents, both as I knew them growing up, and as I’ve come to know them in new ways through the making of this film.”
