ASRock releases 3.50 BIOS with AGESA 1.2.0.3G for its AM5 motherboards

ASRock with new BIOS and AGESA

In late August, ASRock released a new BIOS for its AM5 motherboards. The update, listed as version 3.40, was long overdue and promised to address the dying CPU issue. However, based on Reddit threads, users are still reporting problems, especially with Ryzen 9000X3D series processors. In some cases, though, systems are not running the latest BIOS.

As we mentioned before, ASRock’s biggest problem is not the lack of effort in trying to fix the issue. The real problem lies in communication—there are no official statements, no roadmaps, and no clear attempts to contact customers to warn them about the risks. To make matters worse, the company continues to release new motherboards, and it’s unclear whether they are affected by the same problems.

Meanwhile, ASRock has just released a new BIOS, version 3.50, as reported by moderators on the ASRock subreddit. The update is available for X870, B850, and B650 motherboards, and even one A620 model, all released on September 26.

According to the changelog, the BIOS “ Updates AGESA to ComboAM5 1.2.0.3g.” Unfortunately, no further details were provided, but we can expect users to share their findings soon.
